We could have driven 2.5 hours to get to Hailey from our RV Park. Turns out there is a scenic route through the mountains. It took us over 5 hours with the stops and all, but totally worth it.
The hills were steep enough that we took breaks to let the brakes cool. Some climbs we barely made 45 mph. We had tire over inflation worries at first, then realized we climbed approx 4000 ft up to 10k ft in elevation during the first half of the drive.
We could not capture the true majesty of the views. Every direction was a postcard.
