While staying at the south 40 rv site we made several drives into Richmond. Its an average city, has a busy growing business district. Driving in you pass an historic Train Station straight from the victorian era.
One edge boasts a bohemin community called Carytown. Lots of artistic stores and fronts to wander through. We made our first sojourn to Libby Hill park. Overlooking downtown across the James river you see the majority of the city, and the bend in the river holding Belle Isle.
We did go to a farmers market and drove many backstreets around Richmond.
We spent the day walking around the 100 acre Victorian estate ‘Maymont’. We couldn’t visit the masion as it was under renovation.
