We found this really nice place in the small town of Silsbee, just north of Beaumont, TX. It’s a man-made lake and the park is well maintained. The kitties enjoyed walking outside here. Nandi especially liked digging in the soft sand.
Quite by accident we ended up staying right next door to an amazing dance hall. If you look in picture #2, you can see our rig and just across the trees is the back of the dance hall. The first day we went dancing we had the place to ourselves for over an hour, plus DJ!
We did go dancing again the next evening with the locals and a live band.
We’re here to visit Big Thicket, which is a group of separate Preserves spread throughout the area.
