Boquillas Canyon is in the far southeast corner of Big Bend. Here the Rio Grande flows through a deep canyon. The tunnel in picture #1 is on the road to Boquillas Canyon.
Across the Rio Grande on the Mexico side is the small town of Boquillas del Carmen (picture #2).
In picture #3 you can see souvenirs for sale, unattended, brought over to the U.S. side in the red canoe in picture #2.
Picture #8 is a couple we met from The Netherlands. We ended up talking with them for quite a while. We ate lunch with them and also went to the Hot Springs. Unfortunately, we failed to take pictures at the Hot Springs…
