At the east end of Grand Valley, you take a drive up onto the Grand Mesa, the largest flat topped Mt in the world. It reaches 11,000ft in elevation. It’s a contrast to the hard rock and steep cliffsides that surround the Grand Valley below.
There are many hiking trails. We found a small one at the Grand Mesa visitor center. We took a few drone shots of the Lakes. The locals say in the winter cross country skiing is a popular activity.
