On our first day in Las Vegas we visited the Hoover Dam, once known as Boulder Dam. It is a massive structure.
The history and information they provide on the tours and in the info kiosks help you fully grasp the enormity of the dams build. In one photo you will see some workers repairing one of the power generator spindles. These are so large all work is performed there, within the dam.
There is a huge lake (Lake Mead) created by the dam. Its the largest water reservoir in the USA.
