Here, There & Everywhere

Nashville TN

While we were in Nashville, we stayed at The Grand Ol RV Resort. The park was nestled between a main road and a train track. Fortunately, the train never blew it’s whistle when passing by. The Resort provided meals and nightly live entertainment.

We went dancing at the largest dancehall in Nashville, The Nashville Palace. Sadly, it is mostly line dancing. This is true for most country bars east of the Mississippi.

We like to go to local Farmers Markets. The day we went to this market they had a collard greens festival. There was also live music. While there we had crepes for breakfast and explored many interesting vendors.

The most famous landmark is The Grand Ol Opry. The night we went we saw Riders in the Sky, William Beckmann, T. Graham Brown, Breland, Don Schlitz (songwriter of many famous songs), Chayce Beckham and The Isaacs. This is the new Opry Building, but they saved a circular cutout from the original stage, visible in the photos. The Opry shows are actually the oldest continuous live on air radio show in the USA.
