From Hailey we took a 90 min drive to Redfish Lake. It is the most popular resort in the local area. The lake is crystal clear, blue, glassy water. People acclimated to the water here go swimming and skiing throughout the summer…in winter they’re buried in 7 ft of snow.
On the drive, you run along Sawtooth Mtn range until you get to the lake. In the closeup you can tell why it’s called Sawtooth.
We visited a salmon hatchery run by the state. They harvest the eggs and sperm from wild caught salmon. Fertilize. Raise them from egg to release.
