Saguaro National Park

01-18-24

Saguaro Natl Park is right in Tucson. The image of the typical saguaro is far from typical. Each one is different! It’s hard to imagine how tall they are until you stand next to one. Saguaro only grows at a certain altitude in combination with the proper climate and soil. They can live for hundreds of years.

We took a 3.5 mile hike to the top of a ridge in the middle of the park. There is a very sparse variety of vegetation covering millions of acres of land.
