Whites City is not a real city. Its actually just an intersection, just outside the Caverns State park.
Carlsbad is approx 20 miles away, and is like most small desert towns. Run Down, old bldgs… We stayed right up by the road, and were sandblasted to the point we took in our slideouts, for fear of damage.
Overall the stay was nice, the caverns made it worth it. The temperatures were cold enough that we took our fresh water hose in at night. The icicles in the last two pictures are along the road that leads to the caverns.
